Stories Gets You Seen by More People

Those who are doing Stories, they’re killing it and they’re loving it. Those who aren’t, it’s time to jump on the bandwagon.

If you’re wondering what Stories are about, read last week’s blog on using stories.

Using Stories is one of the best ways to get seen by more people who follow you. The change in algorithm has

decreased the organic (free) reach of posts, but Stories are gaining traction.

There’s a camera feature inside of stories on your mobile devices where you can record a video snippet or take a picture. Or you can upload from your phone’s photo gallery. It’s best to use vertical (upright) pictures and videos. It fills the Stories frame the best and pulls your viewers in. You can also upload landscape photos and videos.

Videos in Stories are 15 seconds each, but if you upload a longer video, Stories will divide them into 15-second clips. Basically, people will keep watching without interruption going from clip to clip.

So, how do you keep your content social? This week’s blog features Dr. Traci Lynn, CEO of a multi-million dollar beauty and accessory brand, who has been sharing sneak peeks into her life by using the Stories feature on her Instagram account and Facebook Public Page. Remember, people connect with people, so decide what you’re comfortable sharing about the things you enjoy doing in your personal and social life. It’s your choice, but it will help you connect with others and build relationships.

Stories can be posted on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp, and Snapchat. Tell us, in the comments, how you’re using Stories or plan to use them.
